Monumental Wellness Retreat is a nonprofit organization located in Palmer Lake, Colorado – nestled in the Tri-Lakes area near Colorado Springs – and we serve survivors no matter where they live.
Our mission is to support individuals impacted by domestic violence, relationship abuse, emotional abuse, and psychological trauma. We believe healing is possible – and no one should have to do it alone.
Born out of Monumental Med Spa, our mission evolved from helping people heal externally to walking alongside them through internal transformation. From our wellness community to our custom-built EMR system, everything we do is rooted in care – and a portion of every EMR subscription directly funds our nonprofit programs.
What Is Intimate Partner Betrayal and Toxic Relationship Abuse?
Many of the people we help have been in relationships that looked normal from the outside but were emotionally damaging, confusing, or manipulative behind closed doors.
You might not even realize it at first, because there’s often no visible bruising. Instead, it’s:

- Love-bombing and devaluation
- Isolation from family/friends
- Controlling finances or freedom
- Repeated betrayal with blame or denial
- Constant “walking on eggshells”
- Rewriting the truth

We use terms like toxic relationships, betrayal trauma, and intimate partner abuse because these dynamics can take many forms – but the impact is real:

Sometimes the most powerful support comes from someone who’s been there.
This free, confidential 30-minute session connects survivors with trained peer supporters who listen with empathy and understanding.
It’s free, private, and deeply healing.
???? The Vook Project: “It Happened to Me Too”
A digital storytelling series where survivors share their journeys out of relationship abuse, betrayal trauma, and toxic patterns — and how they began to rebuild.
The response has been extraordinary — survivors tell us that sharing their story has been profoundly therapeutic.
Because of this impact, we’ve made the Vook Project an ongoing program, inviting new participants to reclaim their voice and contribute their stories of healing.

We welcome one-time and monthly donations. You may give to the General Fund or designate your gift toward a specific program.
We respectfully allocate 30% of all donations toward essential administrative costs to keep our mission running smoothly.
