Monumental Med Spa Expands Offerings Including Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) for Joint Pain Management and Cosmetic Aesthetics
Organization to also launch new non-profit in 2025 to support women experiencing abuse
Colorado Springs, Colo – September 12, 2024 – Monumental Med Spa, El Paso County’s premier and award winning med spa, is pleased to announce they are now offering FDA approved Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) for joint pain management and cosmetic aesthetics, one of the first med spas in Southern Colorado to offer these state of the art techniques.
PRF treatment is used to treat joint pain management, tendonitis, ligament injuries and more. The treatments promote faster healing, reduces inflammation, and alleviates pain by enhancing tissue repair. For aesthetic purposes PRF benefits include enhancing skin rejuvenation, improving skin texture and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. PRF is a natural approach that accelerates healing and helps achieve a more youthful appearance.

In 2024, Monumental Med Spa moved to a new expanded facility to better accommodate clients and increase their treatments. The spa will further expand its services in 2025 by creating an outdoor facility on its property to provide holistic and spiritual healing through yoga, meditation and events.
In order to enhance the quality and efficiency of Monumental Med Spa’s operations and client experiences, Monumental Med Spa’s COO, Ronda Macrory created and implemented its own enhanced electronic medical records (EMR) system that is also used by additional medical providers across Colorado. “Our EMR system improves accessibility and coordination among providers and ensures patient and client’s information is accurate and up to date,” says Macrory. “It is a significant advancement towards efficient, safe and patient-centered care. We were thrilled when our colleagues across the state asked us to use the technology as many EMR systems are not as efficient as they should be.”
Philanthropically, Monumental Med Spa plans to continue to support TESSA in 2024/25 and beyond, a Colorado Springs nonprofit that helps individuals and their children achieve safety and wellbeing while challenging communities to end sexual and family violence, to help survivors in our community heal. “Like millions of women, Ronda Macrory and I are both survivors of domestic violence and we want to be able to support survivors during their healing. If we can help one person through these efforts, that will be a great start for the future. We’ve planned to support women experiencing abuse through many channels and working with TESSA is one of our first major steps.” said Shook.
Furthermore, Monumental Med Spa will launch its own non-profit organization in 2025. Monumental Wellness Retreat a 501c3, established in 2024 will continue to serve organizations like TESSA through donations. Additionally, Monumental Wellness Retreat will offer women experiencing abuse many types of additional support including group therapy, wellness treatments and much more. “We are so thrilled to have established this new nonprofit organization that will support women and help them heal in many ways. We look forward to announcing more details about this effort in early 2025,” said Macrory and Shook.
